This year we also introduce a new venue to the festival concert destinations--Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort™, provides a scenic venue at mid-mountain and tucked into a graded bowl with vistas incorporating the forest and valley below. Strictly Classical – Intimate Evenings with the Lake Tahoe Music Festival
Join us for Strictly Classical –Intimate Evenings with the Lake Tahoe Music Festival, special hour-long evening concerts hosted on the lawn at Granlibakken Conference Center and Lodge. “Classical New and Old,” Wednesday, July 21, features the Orchestra Academy with special guest Ariana Ghez, principal Oboist for the Los Angeles Philharmonic. The following Wednesday, July 28 “Music in the Key of D” features principal Cellist of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, Jerry Grossman. Only 225 tickets are available for each evening. This program is designed to ensure that your experience at each of the summer concerts is unforgettable evening under the stars.
In addition to the privileges indicated at those donor levels, Signature and Premium donors also receive the following special services:
• Before each concert, a Board member will contact you to ask how many chairs you would like to have set up for you and your guests (up to allowed number).
• At each concert, a Board member will personally welcome your group.

Spring Recital - TTYMP Students Perform
The Lake Tahoe Music Festival’s Tahoe-Truckee Youth Music Program
(TTYMP) hosts its spring recital Tuesday, May 25 in the Truckee Elementary School gymnasium. The TTYMP is an extraordinary program that provides free semi-private music lessons and music equipment to Truckee elementary school children grades three through five. Music lessons are taught by Truckee High School student volunteers who, in exchange for their teaching and mentorship hours, are awarded scholarships. The 2010 spring recital is open to the public and all are welcome and encouraged to attend. RSVP by e-mail.
